Faith | Action | Sisterhood

We’ve taken a new name to better reflect how we answer our calling today. It’s an exhilarating time, as we commit to even greater inclusivity, action, and impact. We remain women of passion and power, united by God’s love in our mission to support women, children, and youth.

What is United Women in Faith?

United Women in Faith is a supportive, inclusive Christian membership organization where women grow spiritually, develop as leaders, and serve and work to create a world in which all women, children and youth thrive. United Women in Faith is celebrated as a sisterhood that transforms communities. We hope you join us.

What does United Women in Faith do?

Our members nurture one another in community and support U.S. and International projects and partners; improving the lives of women, children and youth with their prayers, volunteer and advocacy efforts, and financial gifts.

Our Mission

We seek to connect and nurture women through Christian spiritual formation, leadership development, creative fellowship and education so that they can inspire, influence, and impact local and global communities.

Our Purpose

The organized unit of United Women in Faith shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Let us help you find a Central UWF Women's Circle!

Central UWF has six circles of women: Anna, Deborah, Eve, Martha, Ruth and a new circle for women (unnamed women circle). Some circles meet on weekdays mornings and some on weekday evenings. Each circle has specific interests, projects and social activities. Locations of the meetings vary. Many of the circles meet at the church on the first week of the month. Read more about circle meeting times below.

Anna Circle

The Anna Circle meets on the first Wednesday of each month in the Church Parlor (no meeting in July). We are studying the Women of the Bible. All are welcome. Please contact Bunny Daniels with questions.

Deborah Circle

Deborah Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in member’s homes. Please contact Susan Snell for more information.

Eve Circle

The Eve Circle meets the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Contact Sharon LeDuc for information.

Martha Circle

Martha Circle is a group of women in our 30s, 40s, 50s, etc.  We’re always welcoming new members who are interested in journeying together as we seek God’s will for our lives. We would love to have any interested woman join us!

The Martha Circle meets the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm. Come join us! For more information, please contact Laura Steil or Kathy Leftwich.

Ruth Circle

The Ruth Circle meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 10:00 am in the CUMC Library/Welcome Center except for summer months – June, July, and August. For more information about Ruth Circle, please email Kim Everette. We would love to have you join us!

Unnamed Women Circle

The Unnamed Women‘s Circle is a growing group of young women who meet on the second Wednesday of every month at a local restaurant downtown at 6:00 pm. Nursery is available for children ages 0-5 (not yet in kindergarten) at the church. Contact Ann H. Owens for more information. We hope to see you there!

You Are Invited

Come join women just like you—women of all ages; single and married; working and retired; moms, grandmothers and even great grandmothers. We are women who love to travel, quilt, cook, garden, read, do crafts, enjoy music and the arts. We learn from each other and make life-long friends.

If you would like to visit one (or more) of our circles listed below, please contact Patrick Neitzey: pneitzey@centralumc.org.
