Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven…

My name is Josie Miles, I am 11 years old and in the 6th grade. I have been a part of Central since I was born. I am the oldest of three sisters and am currently in the Confirmation Class, where I am learning about my own path to God. I have also enjoyed spending time in the youth group this year including going to Wilderness Retreat and the church lock-in.
When I think of the Lord’s Prayer, I think of it as confirming my faith to God. I gradually learned and memorized it while attending church since I was a baby. When it states, “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”, I feel like it is stating all the ways to be faithful to God. It also is a way of talking to God with more people than just myself. That is very important to me. I usually pray about three times a week, having what you could call a conversation with God about my daily life, yet saying this prayer in church is different and sometimes it is comforting to know exactly what to say.
